Question: We have to gather specific data regarding our Medicare Part A revenue for our Medicare Cost Report. What report could I run in PointClickCare® to show this information?
Answer: You can create your own "custom report" for this by first creating the "account group" and lower "subgroups," similar to the way you created them for your financial statements. You can set them up with all of the Medicare Part A accounts needed in appropriate subgroups based on where you want to have subtotals calculated. This can also be done for other payers. Remember, subtotals calculate automatically for each "account group" and "subgroup." Once created, these reports can be used year after year for gathering your cost report data quickly and efficiently.
