Our webinar is designed for Administrators, Director of Nursing, and nursing staff that provide care to elderly and developmentally disabled persons. Our desire is to provide networking among leaders in the Post-Acute Care, Long Term Care, and Assisted Living industry while providing education on hot button issues. We hope that participants leave with the knowledge and tools to prepare them for the future. This presentation provides education on tools to improve the quality of care. This program will review Infectious Disease threats in long-term care and effective prevention measures
Learning Objectives Include: 1. Learn about these 18 pathogens and the risks of our continued inappropriate use of antibiotics. 2. Determine the most effective prevention measures for these 18 pathogens. 3. Identify three ways an Antibiotic Stewardship Program can improve antibiotic use. 4. Learn to differentiate between gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. 5. Get to know the 3 most urgent bacteria identified by the CDC.
