TWINSBURG, OH – Richter is proud to announce that Director of Clinical Consulting Landa Stricklin has earned the Health Care Compliance Association’s (HCCA) Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC)® designation. Individuals who hold this professional certification demonstrate expertise in healthcare compliance processes, and are more qualified to help organizations understand and address legal obligations, and encourage organizational integrity through effective compliance programs.
To become certified, applicants must meet the Compliance Certification Board’s (CCB)® continuing education units (CEU) requirements and meet work experience requirements. The exam is largely based on compliance-related work experience, and requires individuals to recall, apply and analyze current regulations, best practices, and current government guidance. This includes:
• Compliance policies, procedures and controls
• Compliance program administration
• Screening and evaluation of personnel, vendors and other agents
• Communication, education and training
• Monitoring, auditing and reporting
• Non-compliance discipline
• Investigation and remediation
As someone who has navigated various aspects of healthcare compliance for more than 30 years, Landa is excited to receive this official certification. “I have always taken it upon myself to keep up with regulations and changes within the industry so I can prepare my staff and clients accordingly,” Landa stated. “I am grateful for this recognition and will continue to share the knowledge I have gained throughout my career.”
Landa holds a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from Kennesaw State University (2010) and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from West Georgia State University (2004). She also became a licensed nursing home administrator in 2007, and is a certified MDS assessment coordinator. She is an active member of the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA).
